BIG REDS SWARMING MISSISSIPPI'S BARRIER ISLAND'S SHALLOWS! CATCH THEM NOW!

Fished Friday, Saturday, and Sunday with charter clients. On Saturday the weather was awful, and I had the Lieutenant Governor Phil Bryant of Mississippi aboard TEAM BRODIE CHARTERS.

Anglers included the Lieteunant Governor, Charles Porter, Bob McKay, and Donnie Massey. Although we fished a short while, the Lieutenant Governor caught all of the fish, a small redfish and 3 hefty sheepshead.

It was cold, windy, and a just bitter morning, but we had fun never the less, and have other adventures on the agenda for warmer weather to come. Back at Charles dock I cleaned up their fish, and a fresh fish meal was insured.

However, the fishing on Friday and Saturday was excellent! On Friday my clients were Scott Favell, Steve Berkeneier, and John Brayfiels from southern Illinois.

These gentlemen managed to land 6 gorgeous redfish at the barrier islands, and miss a number of fish too. Would have got their 9 fish limit, but the winds kicked up and we had to run back to the mainland where they added 2 nice sheepshead to their catch.

Yet it was on Sunday that we saw the most redfish of the year so far. Schools of 100 to 500 fish were all over the flats, an amazing sight, and as one might imagine limits as well as catch and release came easy casting into the dark masses of hungry fish.

For Jim Conn and his dad John from Minnesota, well, they enjoyed a unique experience on their visit to south Mississippi. Heck, we were back to the D'Iberville Marina by noon, I cleaned the fish at the dock, and was back home relaxing by 1 o'clock.

So if you want a shot at some of this amazing sight fishing in crystal clear shallows book your trip now while the getting is good.

Regards and many thanks to all,
