Biloxi, MS Fishing - Back Bay of Biloxi & MS Sound

January 29, 2010

Biloxi, MS - Back Bay of Biloxi, Mississippi 01-29-10 06:00 AM ( about 2 hours )

I know its been a while since my last report here, but I sure have been busy. First of all, my sincerest thanks goes out to all of the wonderful clients that fished aboard TEAM BRODIE CHARTERS during the 2009 season.

I've been blessed with such great people, and most of whom are now consideded my friends, as well as come back clients.

Our adventures were many, catches were big, and species quite varied. You name it, tripletail, Florida pompano, speckled trout, redfish, flounders, sand sea trout (white trout), croakers, southern kingfish (ground mullet), Spanish mackerel, sharks, sheepshead, cobia, black drum, ladyfish, jack crevalles, and a number of other species added to the array of fishing fun here in south Mississippi.

To date, the 2010 season has started out on a good note too, and guided diving duck hunts, as well as a few fishing trips made the new year a success.

For those of you coming back, and anyone planning to fish aboard TEAM BRODIE CHARTERS in 2010 for the first time it would be wise to book your trip well in advance. Clients are already booking trips well into May and June, so if you have a particular date in mind, well, it's best to secure it now.

Lately I've been concentrating my fishing efforts on sheepshead and black drum, and the catches have been very good as you can see in the pictures. Yes it has been quite cold for our region, and even had a bit of a fish kill due to cold weather, but nothing drastic.

Sunday is the last day of duck season in Mississippi, and will finish it out by hunting with friends. My last fishing trip resulted in 20 black drum, 6 sheepshead, as well as numerous fish released.

Now that duck season is about to end it will be back to guided fishing trips "full speed ahead" and excited about another action packed year of light tackle fishing here in the Deep South.

And like I always say, "Life is short...let's fish!"

Regards and many thanks to all,

Capt. Robert L. Brodie of TEAM BRODIE CHARTERS
